Disneyland is a theme park concept introduced by Walt Disney first in California at 1955. The main theme of Disneyland is to entertained the young generation. There are many adventures and fantasy include to makes the park a complete wonderland. Hong Kong Disneyland also was built on same concept, but they avoid problems of cultural backlash by attempting to incorporate Chinese culture, customs, and traditions when designing and building the resort.
The park was completed and opened for visitors on September 2005, with capacity of 34000 visits a day. It is the first theme park located inside the Hong Kong Disneyland resorts, and is owned and managed by Hong Kong International theme parks.
The Disneyland include six themed areas: Main Street, U.S.A., Fantasy land, Adventure land, Tomorrow land, Grizzly Gulch and Toy Story Land. The cast members speak in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin. Guide maps are printed in traditional and simplified Chinese as well as English, French, and Japanese.
The park welcomed 5.2 million visitors first year slightly below than the expected 5.6 million. The next two years were not as much good as the visitors fall to 4 million per year. After 2009 the visitors increased and the park start attracting tourists. The theme park was considered the 15’th most visited theme park in the world in 2011, with 5.9 million visitors.
Beside the criticism on the management the Disneyland perform well, they just need to give proper attention to manage the guests well on special oceans.
